Tracy Tranchitella is a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine integrating the scientific principles of Functional Medicine with the sensibility and holistic view of traditional naturopathy. She graduated from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona in 1998 and began her career in general naturopathic medicine in Southern California. In 2012, Dr. Tranchitella moved to Bend, Oregon with her family to enjoy the beautiful outdoors of Central Oregon and the Pacific Northwest.
With over 20 years in practice, Dr. Tranchitella has developed specialties in women’s health, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), thyroid and adrenal issues. She adheres to the common view in both Naturopathic and Functional Medicine that disease begins in the gut and a thorough evaluation of digestive function is always a part of her complete work up and patient evaluation. She provides naturopathic consultations for general health issues including digestive disorders, blood sugar management, autoimmune disorders, cardiovascular disease and metabolic disorders, chronic fatigue, hormone and menstrual issues and general dietary and nutritional consultations.
With each patient, Dr. Tranchitella emphasizes a balanced whole food diet coupled with important lifestyle strategies for stress management, quality sleep, regular exercise, and making time for the things that bring joy to our lives. She believes these are the foundation to any successful wellness program. She evaluates patient complaints with appropriate testing utilizing salivary, stool, urine and blood tests to identify the underlying causes of dysfunction. Dr. Tranchitella implements herbal remedies, individualized supplement programs, and detoxification therapies as part of her comprehensive approach to resolving complex health issues and hormone imbalances.
Dr. Tranchitella is available for distant consultations by phone and internet video for those who live outside of Central Oregon. Office visits are available for those who prefer an in-person consult.
For nearly 10 years Dr. Tranchitella worked as a lab consultant for BioHealth Laboratory providing doctors and other health professionals with laboratory interpretation emphasizing the relationship between the test results and the patient’s clinical picture followed by a discussion of treatment options and considerations. She was also involved in content and protocol development. Currently, in addition to her private practice, she works for ZRT Laboratory providing research and articles on relevant health related topics such as Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal (HPA) Axis Salivary Tests, Sex Hormone and Metabolic Assessments, etc. For further information, please go to ZRT Laboratory.
